CEA LIST
The LIST is part of the French CEA (Commissariat a I'Energie Atomique) national research institute. Its vocation is to help companies to increase their competitiveness through technological innovation, by transferring its technical know-how to industry. To this end, its 450 researchers, engineers and technicians perform applied research on software-intensive technologies in partnership with the major industrial players in the nuclear, automotive, aeronautical, defense and medical fields. Three quarters of the LISTs resources are devoted to research with partners outside the CEA.
Within the LIST, the LSL laboratory has been conducting research and development on the Safety of Programmed Systems for over 10 years. The LSL specializes in tools for the verification and validation of software and hardware/software systems. To aid industry in the increasing automation of the verification and validation of its products, the LSL has built up, and continues to develop, an expertise in some of the most advanced techniques in the field: static analysis using Hoare logic, abstract interpretation, rewriting and proof techniques, software simulation and constraint logic programming.
These techniques are implemented and used to realise different validation and verification tasks, such as : the formal proof of program properties, prediction of potential run-time errors, automatic test-case generation based on the source code and/or the specifications and automatic test-case execution by simulation. One of the main features of the work carried out in the LSL is that innovative techniques are always associated with the development of industrial prototypes that can demonstrate not only the feasibility of the approach, but also its ability to be easily integrated into an industrial context, ensuring its acceptability to the final users.

NEOPOST
History
The rich history of Neopost Technologies dates back to 1924, when our founder Heert de Wit set up a company called HaDeWe. Established in Kornhorn in Groningen, HaDeWe was a traditional company that concentrated on constructing and maintaining machinery for the agricultural sector.
The invention of the stencil machine allowed the company to grow considerably and exports to the United States started as early as 1934. In time, the company moved to Drachten.
After a number of takeovers, the French investment group B.C. Partners became the major shareholder in the Neopost Group (which included the former HaDeWe) in 1997. In 1999, CEO Jean-Paul Villot successfully floated the Neopost Group on the stock market.
Our activities
Neopost Technologies is the world market leader in the development, production and distribution of trend-setting envelope filling machines. The successful combination of technological innovation and market knowledge has won us this unique market position. Our task is to keep improving our current products and processes while at the same time working on the development of new products and processes.
Because we have all the necessary disciplines in-house, some of the innovation process can be implemented in parallel (concurrent engineering), thus accelerating the process. This means that expertise from all the disciplines can be used early on in the project, so that elements such as feasibility, saleability, serviceability and convenience are ensured.
Our products
Our products are sold in more than 70 countries worldwide via our own sales organisations and selected permanent distributors. The Neopost Group is performing successfully and our growth will continue in future, in terms of both turnover and scale.
Without exception, Neopost products mean quality, performance and reliability. New demands are always being placed on our machines by the market, such as greater ease of use, more features, a new look, problem-free and quiet operation, plus linking machines to the net for site management purposes. All these developments mean new challenges for our development teams.
